Weight Loss
GLP-1 programs.
Prescription weight loss options using GLP-1 receptor agonists — supervised by a licensed provider, built on your labs, and monitored throughout.
How GLP-1 receptor agonists work.
GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) is a naturally occurring hormone that regulates blood sugar and appetite. GLP-1 receptor agonists are a class of medications that mimic this hormone — reducing hunger, increasing feelings of fullness after eating, and supporting fat-burning mechanisms. When used as part of a medically supervised program, they can be a meaningful component of weight management for qualifying patients.
These medications are not right for every patient. Candidacy depends on your clinical picture — including your BMI, health history, current medications, and lab results. At Millard Premier Medicine & Aesthetics, every GLP-1 program begins with a comprehensive assessment. No prescription without a real evaluation.
What to expect.
- Initial consultation with lab review and health history
- Assessment of candidacy based on clinical criteria
- Prescription of appropriate GLP-1 receptor agonist where indicated
- Nutrition and activity guidance to use alongside medication
- Regular follow-up appointments and lab monitoring
- Plan adjustments based on your response and goals
Individual results vary. GLP-1 receptor agonists are prescription medications that require medical evaluation and ongoing provider supervision. Millard Premier Medicine & Aesthetics does not prescribe these medications without a clinical assessment confirming that they are appropriate for your individual health needs.
Who may qualify.
Patients with a BMI above 30, or a BMI above 27 accompanied by a weight-related health condition such as type 2 diabetes, elevated blood pressure, or high cholesterol. Patients must complete a clinical assessment before any prescription is considered. Suitability is determined by your provider based on your full health picture.
